There are so many delicious places to enjoy a delicious meal in Cincinnati, but some are definitely more kid-friendly than others. While it seems like most restaurants have created an atmosphere that is welcoming to people of all ages, some have done it so well that you’ll really enjoy taking your family there to dine.

Zip’s Cafe

Zip’s in Mount Lookout is known for its burgers, and it’s also a very family-friendly place to grab a bite to eat. The food is kid-friendly (hello, burgers, grilled cheese, and fries) and the train that runs along the wall of the restaurant is a treat. Plus, it’s usually a little lively, so no one will notice if your kids have a scream (or two). Check out our previous article about this nostalgic eatery to learn more.

The Gruff

Gruff is a fun place to dine for all ages, but your kids will especially love it! They have a separate play area for kids with coloring books, stories, and nostalgic toys, and their kids’ menu is approved for the picky ones! They also have drive-through for order delivery, and what family doesn’t love that on a busy night?

Eli’s kebabs

Kids love a good picnic, and you can have one with the whole family at Eli’s. This favorite from the east has not only mouthwatering barbecue and sides, but also plenty of fun atmosphere to keep young visitors entertained. Eli’s even earned the top spot on Business Insider’s list of the best barbecue in the country. Kids will love that everyone here is messy when they eat and that they can play outside when they’re done!

Pirate’s Cove tropical bar and restaurant

Not far from Eli’s BBQ, right along the river, is Pirate’s Cove Tropical Bar and Restaurant. Although it’s a hot spot for adults on weekends, the rest of the time it’s great for families. Monday nights are perfect for kids, as they have special meals and meet everyone’s favorite pirate. Check out our recent article on Pirate’s Cove to learn more.

Skyline Chili

Cincinnati families document their children’s first steps, their first words… and their first trip to Skyline. It’s a tradition in our city, and this family-friendly establishment will always be one of the best places to eat with kids. Where else can you get crackers within seconds of sitting down and a big bowl of cheese?! Luckily, they have several locations to choose from, so it’s easy to find one close to home.

The Schoolhouse Restaurant

The Schoolhouse Restaurant was created for families; in fact, the food is served family style and will satisfy any craving. Even though many kids say they don’t like school, they will love eating at this nostalgic restaurant. Don’t forget to enjoy the grounds and say hello to the goats!
